Just got here via a rec on crack_van. Really well done, deeply creepy and yet disturbingly beautiful; very effective use of the prayers and symbolism, with just the right mixture of period detail and vagueness. I was convinced that I was in the presence of Soulless!Angel at "Goody. That's a funny one."
