Firstly, may I just pimp my darling friend Jon Gale? He's going to be on Criminal Minds tomorrow night -- it's his big break on network TV, although he's done lots of stage work and a fair chunk of movies. I'd rather read the police log while covered in red ants and honey than watch Criminal Minds, so this is a BIG DEAL. (Sorry, CM fans -- I just get so triggered that I can't bear to watch most gristly procedurals. Nothing personal.)

Photobucketlet's try this one -- see how handsome!

We're having a friend over to do a Jon Viewing Party tomorrow night; she doesn't care for procedurals either and loves her some SPN, so my guess is that we'll be flipping back to the boys as soon as Jon says his line. :) Yup, that's it -- one line. That's the horror of Hollywood, though -- acting is fairly easy; getting work is what's hard. I don't know how he keeps plugging, but he does. That's why we all moan around looking for our favorite actors to no avail (looking at you, Jason Behr) -- you can't just be gorgeous and talented and relentless, you must be fucking lucky. (Being bendy and indiscriminate might help, but luck has a role there as well.)

Speaking of horror, Jon's latest movie is called Revenant. It got great reviews at the LA Shriekfest and hopes are high for a distribution deal. You can find out about it here: http://www.revenant-themovie.com/

In other news, life in the west is so fine, so far, so good. (Bonus points if anyone gets that song reference.) We went pumpkin picking Sunday and OMG WTF WHY IS CALI SO HORRIBLY HOT? Oh, right. That's why we moved. :::headslam:::

We drove a few miles south to Hayward because there's a Sonic there...haven't had Sonic since [livejournal.com profile] sweptawaybayou took me there in Kansas (oh, Snow how I miss you) so a couple of years and couple of thousand miles west and AHOY cranberry lime fruity goodness. That said, we got lost and with gas prices at an apocalyptic $4.59/gal, we will forever refer to the event as "our $60 burger."

I do not like the butter here. And WTF is a ball tip roast? Do not want. (And I do love me some balls, but really....)

How are you??????

Hiya!!
*waves*

And yes - why isn't Mr. Behr in more movies?!!!

Sonic has delightful drinks, it's true. And oh, man - would not live in Cali and miss Autumn and Winter for *anything*....

Congratulations to your friend! However, that link up there is some kind of 'you don't have access' thingy. It says 'referral denied'.

I am the same, so very dull, but hey - at least not 'interesting'..... :)
*waves more*

HI HI HI HI!!!!!

It's so weird -- the leaves are changing and pine cones are dropping like friggin' bombs all the time, but during the day you could set fire to your hair just by standing outside too long.

There is nothing dull about you, bb! Not possible. (Unless you mean you're not shiny because the weather is temperate which, noooo...)

Thanks for the heads up about the link. That's how long i've been out of circ here -- don't know how to do things no more.

It got lovely and cool here and then got warm these past few days - Indian Summer, i suppose. But we have had rain, which we desperately needed.

Dull because - we don't do much, my life is mostly here and about the house, no new and exciting developments! Just, you know, fic and the grocery and politics and whatnot. :)

Come to Mississippi, we have Sonics all over the freakin' place! I pass one on my way to and from work every day. I love their foot long chili cheese coneys, and their cherry limeade slushies. P:

Oh if you were just a little bit more south, or a moderate amount more south, I'd take you for some bbq tri-tip, baby, Santa Maria style. You'd weep with joy is what you'd do. :)

Hi! :D

So awesome to see you posting!

I used to watch Criminal Minds - don't know, must have been in a dark mood, LOL. But then I couldn't watch it anymore because it got more and more gruesome and even the adorable Matthew Gray Gubler couldn't get me to stick with it (though I do still wonder about his character - I do love those cute, smart boys!). But I would watch it tomorrow night to see Jon. How cool for him! I hope he gets more roles and many more lines ASAP.

Just wait... when everything turns snowy and I'm freezing my ass off here in Illinois and you get to avoid the Boston winter, you'll soon remember why it's awesome that you're not out east anymore. Even if the heat is setting your hair on fire. But hey - it's red already and you're an awesome fiery chick, so... it was inevitable. LOL.

I don't really know what I'm talking about tonight. It's already almost 1 am here.

Anyway, I hope you are fantastic. I miss our email chats! *hugs and more hugs coming your way*

Our sonic was closed *forever* and I was so happy when it reopened with not only cran-limeade, but all sorts of natural icee flavors AND coconut water!

Your friend is very cute! Alas, I don't watch CM, either, but I wish him much, much luck getting other TV gigs, lolol!

Yay! That Cali is agreeing with you- I remember wearing down jackets to school in the morning in San Diego and then being released at noon because of the killer heat-- Crazy!

Google says.... Carole King song? So Far Away?
